UX3-NOR Overview

The Mindray UX3-NOR brings together a new-generation hardware platform and Mindray’s own software algorithms, covering the full imaging chain from light source, optics and camera head to image processing, custom display and 4K recording. The result is a 4K camera system that sets focus, exposure and image format automatically, so the surgical team can concentrate on the procedure.

Autofocus for sharp images in one step

A new imaging chip, combined with matched mechanical and optical design, speeds up focusing and improves its accuracy. Less manual focus adjustment means the surgeon can stay focused on the operation.

Automatic scene recognition

Smart exposure: the system selects the metering area to suit the scene (small-diameter scopes or thoracoscopy/laparoscopy) and matches exposure parameters, with no manual switching between department modes
Automatic light control: the camera system adjusts light-source intensity in real time according to the exposure needs of the image, keeping brightness right without manual adjustment

Smart image algorithms for demanding scenes

Several image post-processing algorithms compensate for uneven illumination and local overexposure, keeping the image clear with well-defined structures:

Brightness uniformity
Detail enhancement
Color enhancement
Spectral staining: uses spectral filtering to visualize the vascular network in the mucosal layer, helping distinguish abnormal vessels and supporting clinical diagnosis

Automatic image format: round or full screen in one press

The system recognizes the type of scope and automatically sizes and centers the image, with no repeated manual adjustment: a round (inscribed-circle) image for small-diameter scopes, or a full-screen image for thoracoscopy and laparoscopy.

Built-in 4K recording with H.265 encoding

4K video recording: high-quality recordings of the entire procedure for teaching and academic exchange
Dynamic bit rate + H.265 (HEVC): about 50% smaller files at the same image quality, saving storage

1. What is the Mindray UX3-NOR?
The UX3-NOR is a 4K endoscopy camera system from Mindray. It combines autofocus, automatic scene recognition, smart image algorithms and built-in 4K recording for endoscopic diagnosis and minimally invasive surgery.

2. Do I need to adjust focus and brightness by hand?
In most cases, no. Autofocus sets the focus quickly and accurately, smart exposure chooses the metering area for the scene, and automatic light control adjusts the light source in real time.

3. Can one system serve different scope types?
